Kidney Stones in ADPKD

Overview
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is conducting a research study in adults with ADPKD to determine if kidney stone disease affects the rate of disease progression and to determine whether the frequency of certain antibiotic use increases the risk for stone disease in ADPKD.

Participation Details
Participation involves a one-time visit to the Renal Research Clinic, collection of a single 24 hour urine sample, stool sample, and blood sample. Participants will receive a single payment for completion of all study procedures.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Ages 18-60 years old
  • Diagnosed with ADPKD
  • GFR >45 mL/min/1.73m2
  • No use of either prebiotics or probiotics, immunosuppressive therapy, or steroid use within the previous 6 months
  • No kidney stones within the previous 5 years

Other inclusion/exclusion criteria may apply

If traveling from out-of-state, airfare and hotel will be arranged and paid for by the study
